Keeping your dog's brain and body engaged and active is one of the pillars of overall health. Learning something new (even if it's simple and easy to learn!) provides variety and stimulation for your dog. Of course, learning something new is good for us humans too! While many people think of skills like "sit" and "down" as obedience; they are just the same as learning "shake a paw" or "roll over" to your dog. This course will introduce you to the world of "enrcihment for dog" and set you up to invent your own ideas. Have fun!
The Good Dog Collective was born in 2021 when two wonderful trainers saw the need for a holistic (or "whole-istic") approach for living with the canines that we love so much.
Carol the Dog Trainer is a Certified Dog Trainer (CPDT_KA) with the CCPDT which is one of the two leading independent certifying organizations for professional dog trainers in the world. Carol trains all levels of skills and specializes in behaviour modification and leash reactive dogs (often called “leash aggression”). Working with fearful, anxious and aggressive dogs takes knowledge, skill, and experience which she has gained over the past 20 years.
Regina Palamar is an experienced trainer specializing in reactivity and anxiety with a focus on separation anxiety. She is also the founder of In the Dog House pet boarding which is a leader in the industry for the past 8 years.
Experience teaches that not everyone wants the same skill or behaviour from their dogs, so Carol and Regina tailor their programs to meet each client’s needs. Their education, experience and philosophy shines through everyday and is evident in the happy outcomes for their clients.
